Ikenna brings a wide range and diversity of practical experience having worked prior to joining the firm (and prior to his legal career) as a key player in Nigeria’s Entertainment industry sector. His hands-on knowledge of the Nigerian corporate market and the business environment brings a sublime perspective in our firm’s understanding of the needs of our corporate clients and facilitates the evolution of realistic and applicable legal solutions to them.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electric power and machines from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of the West of England, Bristol UK and a BL from the Nigerian Law School as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is currently on graduate study at the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, Toronto Canada (in International Business and Human Rights Law) where he continues to contribute on specific aspects of the firm’s works.

 

Ikenna has gained numerous work experiences with top global commercial law firms (such as Freshfields LLP) whilst still in England and applies this diversity of experience/learning in approaching his tasks at our firm.

 

He has advised on a number key and innovative projects especially in the Entertainment sector including a $25m online portal for content distribution. He advises businesses around the Energy and Natural Resources sector (Oil, gas, power plants etc) on key environmental and human rights compliance issues (such as meeting key compliance indicators through the evolution of appropriate policy documents, conduct of human and environmental rights due diligence and impact assessments) etc.
